Those Cock-loving Caucasian Customers

The gay bar in Paranaque was rocked by a group of visitors last Friday night. The group consisted of a gay guy and two women, in their 30s. They were seated right in front of the stage. They were cheering on every dancer who came up on-stage, while about three male dancers were seated (or “tabled”) with them. They seemed to have a good time. They were white foreigners.

On the average, I’ve seen only about one group of Caucasians for every month. White foreigners are not that a common occurrence in Manila’s gay bars as compared to the Koreans in Manila’s gay bars or to the whites in Bangkok’s male go-go bars. But few as they are, these visitors could create a bit of commotion when inside the bar.

What they did, continue reading after the jump:

Like the slim gay guy in a red shirt -- let’s call him “Red.” He was so close to the stage and shouted loudly to cheer on every dancer, “Take it off!” With the attention, the dancers went closer to him, as they teasingly removed their underwear, but without exposing anything. Disappointed, Red would whine “Awww!” loudly, then quickly move on to cheer at the next dancer with the same “Take it off!” Good thing he didn’t stand up to party like in a dance club, just as how the old white guy shook his booty with everyone in his way in the middle of the gay bar two months ago.

Compare this to the usually reserved and conservative Pinoy gay bar customers, who would rather sip their beer at the sidelines, and might even be too scared to be exposed going to a “socially unacceptable” place. Even the screaming effeminates tend to be quiet inside these places. Well, except maybe for a few wild girls I’ve seen on a night out for a bridal shower or hen night.

I guess Red thought that the macho dancing bars in Manila are similar to the gay strip clubs in the US, where it could be more liberated. I’ve been to one in New York a few years ago, where all male erotic dancers stripped totally nude on stage, where ledge dancers allowed to be groped under their towels, of course with a tip, and where one-on-one lap dances could result to a hot five-minute make out session (but I don’t think this usually happens… so, lucky me). The smaller hole-in-the-wall gay bars in Manila do allow some fondling with any boy, but the bigger, established ones, nope, not to everyone, but only to the tigas or all-the-way men, for some tip. I’ve even seen a white French guy doing a quick suck to one of these men’s dicks during their “area” (for definition, please previous post).

Unlike Red, the older white men I’ve seen previously were very discreet, but were quite aggressive. They would often get the skinny young junjunin-types at first, similar to Bangkok go-go boys. But after their playful wandering hands would get pushed aside constantly by the young boy, they’d subsequently get the buff nude-all-the-way men, who’d be fine with being groped. So it’s no surprise to see a mature beer-bellied bearded white man with a skinny boy on his left and an “exotic” looking dark man on his right.

That may be the reason why the group of Caucasians last Friday night got those all-the-way men to table with them. As mentioned in a previous post, these all-the-way men did not have the typical mestizo or chinito look that makes local teen actors or makes often-requested superstar gay bar dancers. At least, the tall blonde woman with Red seemed to be very attracted with the guy she tabled -- the exotic-looking dancer who’s often shunned by other Pinoy customers when he does his “area.” The two ended up necking for about an hour, which prompted the other dancers to jeer at him as “the most handsome guy that night.”

But the blonde woman wasn’t the luckiest that night. It was their third companion, the chubby brunette who also had a tall gym-bodied all-the-way dancer tabled with her. During the bar’s peak hours past midnight, the two went missing for an hour. Apparently, they were in a hidden room, unknown to the bar management. What they were doing, I don’t want to say. Maybe sipping Buko Juice.

If that brunette had to give extra for that taste of Buko Juice, I am not sure. But that would not be the first time a foreigner offered money to these men for some sex. And not just fellatio. It’s often to bottom the boy. “Gusto ako tirahin sa puwet (They want to ‘hit’ me in the ass),” what some of these straight dancers would say. But they don’t oblige, not wanting to lose their dignity, even refusing offers as high as P200K.

And knowing how some Pinoys think, I guess seeing foreigners in gay bars would be like seeing dollar signs. Those doing “area” to collect tips, may it be all-the-way boys, tranny impersonators, or group dancers, are often drawn to them, as these visitors are not so frugal when it comes to tipping. I am not sure how much they give out, or if they do tip with P500 bills, which is equivalent to just $10 (the cost of an inexpensive McDonald’s meal for two in the US). Thus, all the bars’ eyes are on them, how much they could earn in just one night.

So I wonder how these visitors – boisterous Red, his near-“blind” blonde friend, and their horny brunette friend -- discovered this particular gay bar. Did they ask for “male strip clubs” from their hotel concierge who might not know what the term meant since they were more familiar with the terms “gay bar” or “macho dancing bar”? Did they use Google and type up “gay bar Manila” with the results showing a list of bars to go to? Did they ask their taxi driver to drive them around the red-light district in the area and they just stumbled upon this bar?

What I am sure is, they wanted to enjoy naked men and be entertained freely in Manila, whichever macho dancing gay bar the taxi driver took them. I didn’t think they got disappointed, even though Manila’s gay bars may not be as liberated as the American strip clubs or the Bangkok go-go bars. But wherever in Manila these foreign visitors would go, the party was sure to follow.
